LAFAYETTE

This historic Alameda Victorian, affectionately known as “The Curvy Lady,” was professionally restored to its original 1895 grandeur.

The project began with the careful abatement of asbestos shingles, revealing the home’s original wood-shingle siding. RAYCO then meticulously sanded away decades of grime and failing paint to uncover the house’s true beauty. This process exposed missing shingles, dry rot, and large gaps in the siding—particularly around the turret and below the water table—that required full replacement. Once the structural repairs were complete, the entire exterior was primed, patched, and primed again before receiving two coats of Dunn-Edwards EverShield paint. The finished restoration earned both the home and RAYCO formal recognition from the Alameda Architectural Preservation Society.
