This multi-unit corner apartment building in Berkeley suffered from deteriorated wood shingles and extensively failing paint.

RAYCO began by fully scaffolding the structure and protecting the sidewalks to ensure safe work and uninterrupted access. Shingles were completely removed from two sides of the building down to the sheathing. Once exposed, a new Tyvek vapor barrier and Hardie cement shingles were installed, along with any missing moldings and trim boards.

The remaining surfaces, heavily laden with peeling paint, were carefully and safely scraped, sanded, and patched after a full prime coat. Two finish coats of premium acrylic paint completed the project, giving the building a fresh, vibrant new appearance.
